[ This is the weirdest message to receive, and for a minute Tim just stares at it, brow furrowed, for some reason trying to decide if it's a joke. Doesn't seem like it. There's a whole lot of stupid questions he could ask right now, redundant ones like are you okay (clearly, otherwise he wouldn't be sending out PSAs) and who was it (probably would have said if he knew, although maybe some kind of identification might be necessary). In the end, he decides to ask something he thinks might be a little smarter. ]
[ Nate sort of knows the identity, but he'd rather not make any assumptions and having been tackled by a vampire before is conscious of how they can snap under unfortunate circumstances.
She could have killed him. He's aware of that, too. ]
bit me after chasing me down the street, up the side of a building when i climbed a fire escape, and across the rooftops
[Kyna sends Tim a picture of herself all snuggly in her fake leather jacket and a fluffy scarf, with a cup of hot chocolate in her hands. Okay, it's carob. Whatever.]
Something I acquired in the caves is being put up for auction. I've been given the option of having what is still described in this time as a +1. Would you do me the honor?
I do miss the written word, I think the sentiment comes across in more earnest. Imagine the former hand delivered in proper calligraphy.
[ It takes Tim a little while to work up the nerve to respond to this, because it feels weirdly loaded, although he's self-aware enough to know that it's probably in his own head and not Klaus's. In the end, he decides on a slightly cowardly reply that isn't an affirmative or a denial, but could probably be read whichever way. Just to grab at some extra time. ]
Is it a formal thing? I don't own a suit Never have
( Found on the bed he keeps in the safe house, a crisp white box detailing some future designer he's clearly never heard of. Encased in a plastic sleeve (paper is not easy to come by) is this suit. If others are asked, someone from one of those task apps took care of it. But, there is a note accompanied. )
[ He's just been informed that they're almost out of that good cleaner that gets rid of the vomit smell. So, in the fast becoming age old tradition of never cutting tim gutterson one single bit of slack: ]
We're almost out of that good cleaner that gets rid of the vomit smell.
[ Is this Tim's problem? No. But Stephen Strange has opted to take his misdemeanor out on him in blood, sweat and errands, so here he is. ]
( They are friends. The are not together. And yet, Klaus feels he owes it to Tim to tell him he's going to be away for a few days. It seems rude to not let somebody know you won't be where they expect you to be. It seemed everyone assumed they were a thing. It's not something he minded, or cared about. What people think had never been at the forefront of his mind. Only what a choice few think. Like Timothy.
Changing up the time for Ginia means Tim is probably sleeping when he gets this message. Klaus closed Red Wings down. Even if they'd seen each other and spoken at Red Wings, Klaus made a spur of the moment decision.
And so. He drafts a message. And then sends it in the middle of the night. )
I suddenly find myself in need of different surroundings. Angela and I are taking in the sights of Casablanca for a few days. I'll be sure to send through pictures.
I also may not have expressed this formally, but I enjoyed myself a great deal at the gala. Thank you again for accompanying me. Please don't be a stranger if you wish not to. I'll be back in a few days time.
[ Tim wakes up at six thirty. He's finally getting back to his routine, which had been pretty severely upset by the new surroundings, a new kind of jet-lag. The first thing he does when he wakes up is read the message, and then again as he's getting himself some breakfast. It takes him a while to figure out of there's anything he's supposed to say to this; he's not jealous, Klaus doesn't owe him anything, and even if he did Tim wouldn't care. Eventually, he decides on something simple. ]
( Klaus is starting to suspect another facet of his ability. Knowing where his daughter was, and checking in, were two different occurrences. And, beyond being a good father who knows his daughter and what she does, how she acts, he knows he hadn't been around long enough to really know. What he'd chalked up to father-daughter similiarites and fatherly instincts was more. It wasn't just his daughter's pain he could feel. it was her whereabouts as well.
He realizes this as he returns to the caves underneath New Amsterdam. He genuinely thanks Angela for something he'd needed. A distraction. But, the world turns. And still he hasn't voiced a single truth to a single soul.
He knows there is one he wants to see, and before sending an errant message, he simply knows where he has to go. He settles by a bench, rucksack on his shoulder. Any moment now, Tim should be running by, shouldn't he?
When he does, when Tim slows down, when he joins him. Klaus is only able to say one thing. )
[ For some reason, it doesn't really surprise Tim to see Klaus sitting on a bench as he's doing another round of the park. It feels right, weirdly, in a way that he can't place. He's not questioning it – it's only been a few days, but he's missed Klaus, the way you only really miss something when you become acutely aware that it isn't there any more.
He slows to a stop, breathing hard, and after a hesitant pause he drops down onto the bench next to him. He's still catching his breath when Klaus speaks and it makes something twist hard in his gut, a pang of empathy so strong it makes him feel queasy. ]
We haven't met, and I know you don't have much reason to trust a random message, but I'm a Morningstar agent. I heard a bit from Gaby about that mercenary group that dragged a few of you halfway around the world, and I did some digging. The people involved in these groups are dangerous, so in the interest of keeping us all from getting disappeared, I'm spreading out what I found among a few of you. Sorry to make you puzzle it together, but it feels like the best option.
[ Attached are a few files—purchase information and shipping manifests from various points in the last year for a truly ridiculous quantity and quality of all sorts of weapons. They seem to have been paid for by a shell corporation named Scherer Corp. The rest of the documents, pieced together, are clearly proof the corporation has close ties to Vyonation, and the weapons were plainly being shipped, in chunks, to Global Spiral. It doesn't even seem like there was a huge attempt to hide what was happening. Maybe no one involved actually had to. ]
